Privacy policy
Curato Limited ("we", "us") is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. We handle your data in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
- Enquiries: if you contact us by email or the contact form, we receive your name, email address and whatever you include in your message.
- Technical data: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes visitor IP addresses and basic request information to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
- Community and collaboration: if you take part in playtests, collaborate with us or work with us on a project, we may hold the contact details and information you choose to share.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss our services (legitimate interests, or steps taken at your request before entering a contract).
- To run playtests, collaborate on projects and, if we ever do paid work, to invoice and keep financial records (legitimate interests, contract and legal obligation).
- To keep the website secure and working (legitimate interests).
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
Who we share it with
We only share data with providers that help us run the business, such as our website host (Cloudflare), email provider and accountancy software, and where the law requires it. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards are in place.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted after 12 months. Financial records are kept for the period required by UK tax and company law, normally six years.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, object to its use, or request a copy in a portable format. Email hello@curato.me.uk and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies. We use only what is strictly necessary to deliver the site, so no cookie consent banner is needed.
If we add analytics or other non-essential cookies in future, we will update this section and ask for your consent first.
Website terms
- The content of this website is provided for general information and does not form an offer or contract. Services are provided only under a written agreement with us.
- All text, logos, designs and code on this site belong to Curato Limited or its licensors. You may view and share links to it, but may not copy or reuse it commercially without permission.
- Games, mods and other downloads are provided as they are, with no warranty. They are work in progress and may change or be removed. Mods for other people's games are unofficial and not endorsed by the original game's creators. Farming Simulator is a trademark of GIANTS Software GmbH, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by GIANTS Software.
- We take care to keep the information accurate, but we do not guarantee it is complete or up to date.
- We are not responsible for the content of external sites we link to.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
- These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
Working with us
Right now our work is our own games, mods and projects. If we collaborate with you or take on paid work in future, we will agree the details in writing first, and those terms take priority over anything on this website.
If you are a consumer, you have statutory rights that nothing on this site affects.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with anything we do, please tell us at hello@curato.me.uk and we will aim to respond within five working days and resolve the issue promptly.
